Paracord Adventure Sandals

Coming from a long-line of Italian cordwainer’s and pattern-makers, its only natural that getting fed-up with the current selection of available sandals to fit my very specific desires would lead me down the path of designing and making my own sandals. As a foraging enthusiast, long walks is a theme in my life. As a barefoot enthusiast, a hatred of overly complicated shoes and sharp rocks is also a theme in my life. As an aspiring bushcrafter, paracord holds a weird obsession in my life. This is my attempt at combining all of those into one very practical form-meets-function solution. That doesn’t cost over $100 and cram my very wide feet.

The Insoles

This is the shape of my foot. Insoles cut from veg tanned leather. Thick and durable but capable of forming to my foot over time like a good pair of Birkenstocks. Vibram traction outer soles were then attached at the bottom at the end of construction for a no-slip-grip.
